Chavez Moves Venezuela Into Islamist Sphere
Hugo Chavez has taken it upon himself to comment on the Israeli response to Hezbollah's aggression:
Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez said Friday that U.S. backing of Israel is responsible for flaming tensions in the Middle East and putting the world on course toward another "Holocaust."
"The fundamental blame falls again on the U.S. empire. It's the empire that armed and supported the abuses of the Israeli elite, which has invaded, abused and defied the United Nations for a long time," Chavez said in a speech during a military act in Caracas.
"I'll seize this opportunity to condemn categorically and fully the aggression that the Israeli elite is carrying out against innocents over there in the Middle East," he said.
Note that Chavez cannot divest himself of the Marxist rhetoric he serves up to Venezuela -- Israel is not a problem because it is a Jewish state, but because it is under the sway of a group of elites. He might be surprised that the parties he supports in the middle east do not make distinctions amongst the Jews: they'd just assume kill them all.
Chavez is working here in support of an axis into which he pushes Venezuela. Last month, he and Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad crashed a meeting of African states and made pledges of cheap fuel and support to African states. In recent months, Chavez has made apparent his intention to turn Venezuela into an arms producer, and soon he will travel to North Korea and Iran. Chavez has become a supporter of Iran's ambitions at both OPEC and amongst the poorest and most desperate states of the third world.

Hugo, Hugo, Hugo. You're just angling for a butt-kicking of your own, one day.
Ironically, Hugo is the easiest of all the world nutters to deal with because he lacks any true ability to deal with American military might. He's just barking to make himself heard. I'd like to ignore him most of the time, but he has been ample fodder in my own blog.
There is a new world order under rearrangement at the moment. On one side are the lovers of reason, who pay at least remote interest in the individual. And then there are the collectivists and marxists and islamists, who deny reason, who act on their 'collective opinion' to shout at those who do have.
A war is going to come one day because the two sides can no longer peacefully coexist- they are diametrically opposed to each other.
It's nice to know that this blog has status enough to come to the attention of Chavista propagandists. I'll leave the above anonymous comment and all its blatant falsehoods present as an fine example of the mendacity of the hard left.
