A Poison Hatches Out

Hezbollah's war against Israel did not result in the complete annihilation of Hassan Nasrallah's illegal, private army, and thus is viewed by far too many as a victory for Hezbollah. That organizations momentum, coupled with their successful propaganda efforts concerning Israel's air strikes, has allowed those who wish to hate and kill to openly declare their desire to hate and kill.

Jewish leaders in Italy on Thursday condemned recent newspaper advertisements likening Israel's military offensive against Hizbullah operatives in Lebanon to Nazi massacres and fascism.

In a statement issued at the end of a meeting with Interior Minister Giuliano Amato, the Committee Against Discrimination and Anti-Semitism said the ads also generated intolerance and hostility toward the Jewish community at a delicate time.

Israel's existence is the crime which such people decry, an idea that is a crime in itself.
